Know all men by these presents that we Har-
rison Taylor as principal and B.M. Grover
as security are held and firmly bound unto
the State of Missouri in the sum of two hun-
dred dollars for the true payment of which
we bind ourselves our heirs executors and ad-
ministrators firmly by these presents sealed
with our seals this fourth day May in the year 1843

The condition of the above obligation
is such that whereas the County Court for
the County of St Louis and State of Missou-
-ri has this fourth of May 1843 granted
to the above mentioned Harrison Taylor a
license to reside free man of color a li-
cense to reside in the State of Missouri
Now if the said Taylor shall properly
demean himself and be of good behavior
during his residence in this State then
this bond to be null and void otherwise
to remain in full force and virtue
