Know all men by these presents that
I Malvin Sharp as principal and
as security are held and firmly bound unto the State of Missouri in the sum of Two Hundred
Dollars, for the payment of which well and truly
to be made we bind ourselves our heirs executors and
legal representatives

The condition of the above bond
is such that whereas the said County Court of
the County of Saint Louis Missouri has this
day granted license to the said Malvin Sharp
to reside in the State of Missouri, so long as he shall
be of good behavior in accordance with an Act entit-
led "An Act more effectually to prevent free
persons of color from entering this state and for
other purposes" approved the 23rd February 1843"

Now if the said above bounden Malvin
Sharp shall be of good behavior as required by
said Act then this bond to be void and of no effect
otherwise to remain in full force and virtue.

In testimoney whereof we have hereto set
our hands and seals at Saint Louis this Twenty- Second day of June A.D. 1843._._.._.._
