Know all men by these presents, that we Samuel
LaBeaurne, as principal, and C. Edmund LaBeaurne
and Louis A. LaBeaurne, as securities, are
firmly held and bound unto the state of MifsouriMissouri
in the sum of one thousand dollars, for the
payment of which we bind ourselves our heirs
executors and administrators firmly by these presents.

Provided, however, that whereas the said
Samuel LaBeaurne has this day obtained a
license from the County Court of St Louis County
State of MifsouriMissouri , in accordance with ac act
entitled "an act concerning free negroes and
mulattoes" approved March 26th 1825, to reside
within the state of MifsouriMissouri as long as his
behaviour is good, then this bond shall be void
and of none effect, otherwise it shall remain
and be in full force and effect.

In witnefswitness whereof we have hereunto set
our hands and seals this fifth day of December eighteen hundred and forty six
