Know all Men by These Presents, That I,
Ludwell Lee as prinipal, and
John S.
Talbott & Loren Spenceras securities,
are held
and firmly bound unto the State of
Missouri, in the sum of two hundred & fifty Dollars
for the payment of which well and truly to
be made we bind ourselves our heirs our
executors and administrators

The condition of the above Obligation is
such, that whereas, the said
Ludwell Lee
hath this day obtained a license to reside in
the State of Missouri, as a free person of
color under an act entitled "An Act concerning free negroes and mullatoes"
according to the statue in such cases made
and provided.

Now if the said Ludwell Lee
shall during his residence in the said
state conduct himself in a peaceable
and orderly manner and be of good
behavior then this bond to be void.
otherwise to remain in full force and virtue.
