Know all men by these presents that we Charles
Moore as principal and Henry Morgan as security
are held and firmly bound unto the State of MifsouriMissouri
are held and firmly bound in the sum of Two hund-
red Dollars to be well and truly paid unto the
said state of MifsouriMissouri , to which payment well
and truly to be made, we do bind ourselves
our heirs, executors administrators and each and every
of them firmly by these presents_ Sealed with our
seals and dated this second day of May AD Eighteen hundred and forty three_ The condition of this oblig-
ation is such, that whereas the county Court of St Louis
County has this day granted to the said Charles Moore
a free man of color, a license to reside within this
State_ Now therefore if the said Richard Charles
Moore during his residence within the said State
of MifsouriMissouri shall well deport and conduct him-
self in an honest, moral, sober and upright
manner as a good and orderly citizen of said
state, then this obligation to be void otherwise
to remain in full force and effect in law
