Know all men by these presents that I Sarah
Brown as principal and Charles Peynter as secu-
rity are held and firmly bound, unto the State
of MifsouriMissouri in the penal sum of four hundred
dollars for the payment of which sum well
and truly to be made the said Sarah Brown
as principal, and the said Charles Peynter
as security hereby bind themselves, their heirs
executors and administrators, firmly by these
presents, sealed with their seals and dated
this fourth day of May_ 1843. _ Now
the condition of this Bond is such that whereas
the County Court of Saint Louis County, hath
granted to the above named bounden Sarah
Brown a license to reside and remain in the
State of Missouri according to the Statute in
such case made and provided. _ Now
if the said Sarah Brown shall be of good
behavior while she remains in said State
then this Bond to be void, otherwise to remain
in full force.
