Know all men by these presents, that We
Parker Campbell + Margaret his wife
as principals and H.J. Beer + Thomas G
Martin as securities are haled and firmly
bound unto the State of Missouri, are held
in the sum of two Hundred Dollars
each to be paid to the states of Missouri
for which payment well + truly to be
made, we do hereby bindourselves, our
heirs, executors, adminsitrators, and
Every of them firmly by these presents.
seadled with our seals, and dated
this first day of May AD Eighteen Hundred + Forty three.

The conditions of this obligation
is such that whereas this county
court of St. Louis Coutly has this
day granted tothe said Margaret
Campbell a free coloured woman
wife of Parker Campbell a coloured
man - a lice3nse to reside in
this state. Now therefore if the said
Margaret Campbell during her residence
in this said stateof Missouri shall
+ truly conduct herself and a
peaceeable - sober - honest + upright Manner
then this obligation to be void, + of no
effect_ or otherwise to be in full force
+ virtue in Law
