Influences - The linear and seemingly endless nature of the river flood
wall and the continuous graffiti art installed therein inspired, along with the
playful quality of children's books, the use of the accordion fold format -
allowing for multiple ways of experiencing the wall and the art.
Artist Statement - A photographic essay of the annual (1997 to 2000) "Paint Louis" graffiti writers public art installation, told in two parts: the first part documents the experience of the artists, the second part records various segments of the extant installation along the existing Mississippi River flood wall in St Louis, Mo.
Physical Description - Double accordion-fold binding, 5" x 8" landscape format. Cover is continuous 'S'-fold museum board. All images color laser-printed on matte-finish photo paper, from digitally scanned slide originals and digital photographs.
