Title Description - Produced during Sophie Tottie's residency at the DAAD Berliner Kunstler program in Berlin, Germany in 2000-2001, this book consists
of more than 33 image series with integrated texts printed in four-color offset. The images are photographs of Tottie's installations and stills
from her videos. They are identified at the back of the book, but they function without this information as a visual support for the texts printed directly
on top of them. Transcriptions of memories of persecution and war are interspersed with talk between astronauts of floating in zero gravity, reflections
on political action, artistic practice and hand written notes addressed to the artist translating the lyrics to a song in the Yoruba language. A visually
and intellectually complex weave of Sophie Tottie's political and visual sensibility. Comes with an insert text by Carlos Basualdo. 29 June 2009
