Navigation

Navigation is performed by clicking on folder tabs. Clicking on a folder tab will bring that folder to the front and push the other folders to the back.

Main Controls

Show Notes toggles the display of note icons. A check displays them and unchecking the box hides them. By default notes are shown.

Synchronize Scrolling allows all the versions to be scrolled in tandem. To scroll versions individually, uncheck the Synchronise Scrolling box.

Synchronize lines is used to make line-by-line comparisons between versions. The same lines across different versions become bold upon clicking.

The New Version button evokes a new version. By default, new versions appear according to order in which they are listed in the XML document's witness list. Each time a new version is evoked, the widths of all versions will contract to take up an equal amount of space. While there is no limit on the number of versions which can viewed in parallel, it is recommended that the number be kept low in accordance with the width of the browser window.

The View All Images button will allow you to see the manuscript images for all witnesses in a single window. To view the manuscript images for a single witness, click the image button within the document pane for that witness.

Version Controls

Each version functions independently of each other. The control panel for each version displays the currently displayed witness ID. The << button displays the first witness as ordered by the editor. The < button displays the previous witness relative to the currently displayed witness. The > button displays the next witness. The >> button displays the last witness.

The X button removes the current version and resizes the remaining versions to maximize available space. All but one version can be removed.
